During my doctoral research in solid-state physics, I worked in a research group specializing in surface physics and was also active at the Dortmund Center for Synchrotron Radiation (DELTA). During this time, I gained valuable experience at national and international synchrotron radiation sources and storage rings, which significantly shaped my technical expertise.<\/p><p>In 2016, I began my career in industrial property protection and completed my training to become a patent attorney at a medium-sized law firm in D\u00fcsseldorf. I successfully finished this training in 2019, qualifying as a German patent attorney and a representative before the European Union Intellectual Property Office. Since 2021, I have also been admitted as a European Patent Attorney before the European Patent Office (EPO). With the launch of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) in 2023, I am additionally qualified as a European Patent Litigator.<\/p><p>In the years following my training as a patent attorney, I was able to further deepen my expertise both in my training law firm and in an internationally active large law firm, with a particular focus on advising clients on complex patent application projects and conducting opposition proceedings. During this time, I advised and represented a world-renowned company in special vehicle construction and a \"hidden champion\" in RFID technology.<\/p><p>With our own law firm, we primarily target sole proprietors, startups, and medium-sized companies. My goal is to support these clients not only in securing their innovations but also in developing strategic decisions that contribute to the further growth of their businesses. At the heart of my work is close collaboration with my clients. I earned my Bachelor's degree in classical mechanical engineering and subsequently obtained my Master's degree in process engineering. During my studies, I gained initial experience in the field of industrial property protection through a multi-month stay abroad in the patent department of an internationally active corporation.<\/p><p>Following my studies, I consolidated and expanded my technical expertise in process engineering and mechanical engineering through practical experience. Initially, I worked as a research assistant in the field of membrane and medical technology at the DWI Leibniz Institute for Interactive Materials in the research group led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Wessling. There, I focused on the production of membranes for use in oxygenators, among other things. Subsequently, I worked in the field of vehicle technology for the Research Association for Automotive Technology (fka), a cooperation partner of the Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika) at RWTH Aachen University, led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. I am also admitted as a European Patent Litigator before the Unified Patent Court (UPC) since 2023.
